‘Are You Volleyball?!’ is scheduled to compete at the Trenton Film Festival in the US.
Directed by Mohammad Bakhshi, the film will compete with other Iranian and non-Iranian films and animations at the 11th section of the event.
‘Are You Volleyball?!’ tells the story of a group of Arab speaking asylum seekers who have lost their pacifications during the war and are seeking a better place in the world to live in. They arrive on the border and the story starts.
So far, the short film has succeeded to attend a number of internationally acclaimed film festivals including, the 19th edition of Ojai International Film Festival in California and the 18th edition of the Yari Iranian Film Festival in Sweden.
The list goes on with the 13th edition of Batumi Film Festival in Georgia, the 25th edition of Adana Film Festival in Turkey, and the 4th edition of the Regina International Film Festival in Canada.
Trenton Film Festival brings together filmmakers, film professionals, and area residents of all ages and cultural and socio-economic backgrounds to build a better understanding of filmmaking, to explore the issues and perspectives in a variety of films–from local to international–and to build an appreciation of the film arts.
The event is slated for March 28-31, 2019 in the US.
